Today, my client & I headed out to South Bay to do some summer portraits. This is actually the first time I went to South Bay and it was quite a nice quiet beach. No tourists, easy to drive to, and has shaded areas. We did some bikini shots and roaring hot sexy portraits… :) Today was soooo hot that I wanted to jump into the water right after the session but too bad I didn’t have my swimsuit. My client and I ended up going to Stanley’s Seafront for lunch and enjoyed a great chat with pizza & pasta + gallons of drinks since we were both super dehydrated after the session. LOL.
Today, I booked a big studio to do a family portrait with this big family group of 15 people… since home session just cannot fit! We had great fun!
So happy to see my old clients from Happymoments.net, … old meaning, I’ve met them six years ago when I was designing their wedding march-in video. After 6 years, they are now celebrating their 6th wedding anniversary with their 4 years old boy at the same hotel they held their wedding at. The session was very fun as their boy was super adorable and friendly. He was very creative and took part in directing the family poses for the session too. Oh.. i love seeing old friends and clients!
It always feels good to see old clients again. I’ve done their session around 1.5 year ago. Now they have another baby boy and wish to capture him at six months old….i.e.: same time they gave his brother a session. I always learn from my clients of how to become a caring good mother. And this mother is surely one of the good examples I learned from. :) It’s with the care of loving and offering both children equally. We even took shots against the same background so that both of them have the same thing. I thought that was a very loving gesture, all from the mother’s heart.

Today I did some business portraits for the upcoming Usana Health Advancement Magazine that is going to be published in couple of weeks. This husband and wife team got promoted again and this month, they would be on the cover as the 7-Star Diamond Directors and would be sharing some success stories with the readers. This is the third time I took editorial portraits of them and all the posing just became second nature :) . Looking forward for their next promotion again! They are one hard working team!

Today, is Mrs. Chong’s 60th birthday! It was a very warm event as all the grand children, family members and close friends were here. It was a very well-planned evening by her children and I can feel Mrs. Chong is very loved by every one who knows her. I was honored to take part in taking pictures for them for the night.
I love this smiling baby boy. I met him before he was born, when he was still in his mom’s tummy!… then, I met him again at his Baptism at 6 months old. now he is 9 months old already. He has got the most innocent smiles! Today, we went to Stanley for a quick portrait session. It was a beautiful day, although the area was a little bit crowded (as today is public holiday) but we manage to get some shots at the Murray House and the beach. Photos to be posted soon.
I am jammed. Thus, got to stop accepting new clients’ bookings from now (April 20 onwards) and see how things go. I am now only doing shoots for pre-booked sessions or returning clients only. For those who had newly contacted me may feel I am not too keen in getting the booking, not because I don’t want business, but I am just too jammed. Half of the time I was struggling whether I should accept it or not. I apologize for this.
I will work faster and update more good works here soon.

Today, I was photographing for a 2 year old girl’s birthday party at the Harbour Plaza Metropolis Hotel. The party theme was Winnie-the-Pooh and the event organizer Kareena from Personalizestuff.com did a really good job. The whole party was very well planned and beautifully decorated. All the guests had a great time. Besides taking picture for the party, I also helped the guests and families take some family portraits on the spot and give them instant photos to take home for memory. This is a new service that I had been carrying at parties.
Today, I had an in-home pregnancy session with a 32 weeks mother. More details to be shared with you soon.
Merry Christmas everyone! Wish you all had a GREAT Christmas and a relaxing holiday with family, friends and loved ones. What is your meaning of Christmas? For me, it had always been about seeing all those whom I value most in my life. It is a season about LOVE. Spending Christmas eve with my loved one, Christmas day with family, and other dates with friends. It is about dressing up, stuffing food into stomach, last minute x’mas gift shopping, clearing deadlines (yes, i am serious), and going to annual balls (there is one that I go to every year with family)! These had marked my past Christmases memories. However, this year, my Christmas holiday seems quiet (i.e.: peaceful). Strangely, there isn’t any familiar friends’ parties to go to, no high school reunions, no annual balls (probably due to organizer had cut budget / something). Although I managed to grab a few good friends out but I really have no idea where everybody else is. It is strange that it is only through change and contrast can I reflect and clearly see the value of those gatherings. They were opportunities, happened as an invitation at a fraction in time to give us a Christmas memory feeling. I am actually missing those parties (OMG)! After all, everyday, what we are doing is just building memories, don’t you think? That’s the only thing we can carry with us when we leave.
Having said that, I am also grateful for this year’s opportunity to experience quietness to allow me to see the contrast. Otherwise, I would take things for granted easily. All these, is about living at the moment of now, and enjoy the present moment of what flows into our life. Opportunities come and go, time is ticking. Thus, this new year, I hope I can clean up my head and re-prioritize what I really want my life memory to be about. Is it about work? love? family? friends? charity? money? Life could be about many things.
I would like to treat my life as a Christmas Feast, and every part of life is just like a dish. My role, as a chef, is to select every ingredients, cooking method, timing, and presentation of every dishes within my feast menu. Every dish is an expression of myself and my time. At the end, I just want to create a great Christmas Feast that me and my guests will feel satisfy and content with as we finish up and leave the dinner table. One thing I know for sure is that I want my main course and dessert to be solely about my love. :)
Just a quick announcement that my Christmas holiday will take place from Dec 22, 2009- Jan 4, 2010. All office, enquiries, post production, shoots .. well basically everything will be OFF. Business *shall* resume on Jan 5, 2010. As I am still not sure whether I will be going anywhere outside HK this holiday. so.. the resume schedule will need to be confirmed at a later time.
Today, I was invited by Changing Young Lives to help them shoot for their Pak Tin Centre’s opening ceremony. I hope I can share some photos here with you.

Today, I went to photograph for a 1 year old sweet boy’s birthday party held at the Aberdeen Marina Club. There was so much to share and I will post this one up soon!!

Today, I was invited by ACA (again.. yes, they love me haha) to help them take some photos of a birthday party they’ve organized for their Good Parenting Project users. The birthday party took place at McDonald!!! Tell you frankly, I’ve NEVER been to a McDonald birthday party before. When I was a kid, I always dream to have a McDonald birthday party. All those birthday hats, gifts, and meal sets look all very attractive to me. Since back in those days, having birthday parties was a luxury for kids, I never thought of asking to have one nor been invited to one. I can’t believe after xx years now, I am finally invited to one!
The party includes around 12 birthday babies who are born in the month of September to December. There were more than 20 families whom attended the party and everyone enjoyed the food (which you can order like a buffet, thanks to ACA), the games, the cake cutting, and the chatting and sharing times. I of course enjoyed the kids! There were so many smiling faces there!
I finally had my ‘first time’! I enjoyed it alot!I can’t remember how many years I had my birthday lunch at McDonald (well that WAS my favorite back then and when my mom ask me where to go on my birthday, I would scream “McDonald” with my sister!). I still remember collecting all of the 漢堡神偷 (Hamburglar) souveniers, as he was my favorite character. 滑嘟嘟 (Grimace) is my second favorite! After my lunch, my mom and dad would let us play at the McDonald playground for a loooong time.
